Sisters Sophie and Jessica were witnesses to a brutal crime as children. In the aftermath, Jessica promises the younger Sophie that she will always be there to take care of her. Alas, 20 years later what was once a promise has now turned into an obsession. While Sophie attempts to become a professional pianist and build a life free of fear, Jessica suffers from delusions and sees threats looming everywhere. When the perpetrators of long ago are finally released to re-enter society, Jessica resolves to find them – until an accident changes everything and transforms Jessica’s promise to care for her sister into an existential nightmare.

“An elegant thriller with unusual psychological resonance.” (Variety)
