Impressions from Ethiopia’s southwest region: Dr. Rita Schiffer speaks about her life as a doctor and nun.

Egon Bunne was born in 1952 in Ahlen (Westphalia). In 1974, he joined the Berlin music group “Ton Steine Scherben”, Germany’s most famous agitprop band, for four years, and lived within the band’s rural commune in North Frisia starting in 1975. He returned to Berlin in 1979 and began an apprenticeship as a machinist, which he completed successfully in 1982. From 1982 to 1986 he studied at the dffb. After his studies, he worked as an editor and director for TV. Since 2002 he has held a professorship at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz. Bunne has directed many films and videos, which have been honoured at festivals around the world, and has also realised television reports and video installations.
