Trailer

ABSTRACT SCREENS
Just as in a film screening, this year’s festival trailer features two primary elements: the projection of light onto a screen and the role of the viewer in the theatre. Contrasting but harmonious, the abstract world of particles and the straightforward typography listing the film categories at exground filmfest complement one another perfectly, while the supporting sonic background provides a calm atmosphere that still manages to create tension.

Direction, concept, realisation and music: Elisa Cavalli
Creative and technical advisors: Andrea Wink und Martin Gessner

The trailer for this year’s edition of exground filmfest was the subject of a seminar in the communication design programme at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden. Out of an original five project ideas, three projects were realised during the 2018 summer semester – from which the exground filmfest team ultimately selected a trailer produced by Elisa Cavalli. The other two proposals will however also be shown on the big screen at Caligari FilmBühne in the scope of the opening for exground filmfest 31 and here at our homepage.
