A village at the Barents Sea: Bardak served in the navy. After his unit disbanded he stayed behind amidst empty buildings. Poacher Dima has made a sport out of breaking rules and ferryman Aleksander is mired in a silent generational struggle with his own daughter Masha, who dreams of another life. With this documentary Ilya Povolotskiy has succeeded in creating a sensitive and stylistically sure-handed debut.
