Hoda Taheri, born in 1992, is an Iranian director and actress living in Berlin. She graduated from Limkokwing University in Malaysia in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in visual communication. In 2019, she began studying film directing at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB). She is a scholarship holder of the Heinrich Böll Foundation. Her debut film I’LL PLANT MY HANDS IN THE GARDEN, a joint directing project with Boris Hadžija, was selected for the “Locarno Film Festival Residency” funding programme in 2023.
