A woman escapes an abusive situation and finds herself eye to eye with a hen who is in the same situation. They develop a mutual understanding based on the shared symptoms of their pain: sore skin.
Anna Benner, born in Bergisch Gladbach/Germany in 1983, is a Berlin-based artist and filmmaker. Her work deals with the psychology of the everyday, often using hand-drawn rotoscope animation. Her artworks have been exhibited across Europe; her animated short films have screened worldwide and won prizes at film festivals like Annecy, Encounters and Stuttgart Trickfilmfestival.
