The macro 3D camera roams through different windowless spaces that oscillate between bunker and club architecture. There one encounters human-sized praying mantises and stick insects with no determinable sex.
M+M stands for the artistic collaboration between Marc Weis and Martin De Mattia. The filmmaker and artist duo live in Munich/Germany. M+M received residency grants at the Villa Massimo in Rome and the Villa Aurora in Los Angeles, among others. Solo exhibitions took place at Galeria Helga de Alvear in Madrid (2023/24), Sprengel Museum Hannover (2020), Museum Villa Stuck in Munich (2019) and Casino – Forum d’Art Contemporain in Luxembourg (2015). In addition, the duo participated in numerous international film festivals and group exhibitions.
