To please her deeply Catholic mom, Ola travels to Ireland to pick up her father’s body and bring it home after a fatal work accident. On her own, she undergoes an odyssey in Dublin, including her encounter with Kafkaesque EU bureaucracy. In search of the money her father promised to put aside for a car, she gets closer to her dad than she ever came during his lifetime and discovers completely new sides to him.

“I NEVER CRY, written and directed by Piotr Domalewski, presented in the New Directors section at the San Sebastián Film Festival, is a moving drama, filled with black humour and empathy, that would make Ken Loach proud. Domalewski’s debut, SILENT NIGHT, won all of the top Polish awards, including the Golden Lions at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and the Polish Eagles [Polish film awards].” (www.cineuropa.org)
