Six adolescents in Vienna, three love stories subtly interwoven. Ben meets rebellious Luka on Tinder. They embark on an affair with no room for emotions. Luka’s girlfriend Momo is involved in a virtual relationship with Alex, who refuses to meet her in real life. Anna and Jakob are savouring their young love. To generate some cash flow, they start selling DIY sex videos online. A film about identity, love and sexuality in a fast-paced, digital society which offers both possibilities and challenges. Adolescents who choose their distinctive ways of living according to available opportunities, who question existing concepts of society and try out their own. Floating between childhood and adulthood, they proove how being young can be lighthearted and troublesome at the same time.

More information

Iliana Estañol, born in Mexico City, studied Film Direction at the International Film School in Cuba and at the University of the Arts in Zürich/Switzerland, as well as Experimental Film & Media at the University of the Arts in Berlin. Since 2002, she has made several films as a screenwriter, director and producer, which have been shown at international film festivals around the world. NORDLAND was her first feature film as a producer, LOVECUT is her feature film debut as screenwriter and director.

Johanna Lietha, born in Zürich/Switzerland, studied Filmmaking at the London University of the Arts. Since 2009, she has been assisting renowned directors in feature film and theatre productions and has made various short films. LOVECUT is her feature film debut as screenwriter and director.
