GHOST HUNTING erhielt 2017 den erstmals vergebenen Berlinale-Dokumentarfilmpreis. Mit der Verarbeitung der eigenen bruchstückhaften Erinnerungen an seine Haft im größten israelischen Gefängnis vor 30 Jahren ist dem palästinensischen Regisseur ein schockierender Film über Folter gelungen. Mithilfe von ehemaligen Gefangenen stellt er nach einem Casting Verhörsituationen nach und erarbeitet eine Re-Inszenierung von real Erlebtem.

Raed Andoni wurde 1967 in Amman/Jordanien geboren. Der palästinensische Regisseur und Produzent begann seine Karriere in der Filmindustrie 1997 als unabhängiger Produzent. Er ist Mitbegründer der beiden Produktionsfirmen Dar Films in Ramallah und Les Films de Zayna in Paris. Sein erster Langdokumentarfilm FIX ME zeigt 20 Sitzungen seiner eigenen Therapie in Ramallah und wurde auf dem Sundance Film Festival und den Internationalen Filmfestspielen von Cannes präsentiert.
