A family is making hay in the French Alps. The work of the dairy farmers is not much different than it was 100 years ago on the steep, small meadows.
Volker Köster, born in 1966, initially studied film design at Dortmund’s University of Applied Sciences. From 1988, he extended his studies at Bochum’s Ruhr University, where he went on to work as an instructor for media studies from 2009 to 2018. In addition, he served as technical director at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen and worked at the National Film and Television School London. He has been invited to present his films, videos and media art in Paris, Vienna, Linz and multiple German theatres and opera houses.
