Juditha and Erik have been married for three decades, raised a daughter and lived a full life against all odds and in spite of Juditha’s early diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Now with Erik preparing to enter retirement, a crucial new phase of life is about to start and the couple’s most demanding journey is yet to begin: with her illness proceeding with unknown speed and bluntness, Juditha has eagerly awaited this moment, and she anticipates Erik’s companionship and times spent together more than ever. But Erik, a passionate scientist who is used to choose work over family, has trouble making the transition. Instead of welcoming the reunion, Erik escapes into new projects that keep him away from his wife. They will need to rediscover the true foundation of their union in order to finally find each other again. A story of love, loneliness, and ultimately togetherness.

Wendla Nölle also pursued a career as a singer-songwriter, while getting her first degree in media engineering. Soon she had earned her engineer diploma, published two EPs, played numerous concerts and was on her way to New York City. Back in Hamburg, she studied Visual Communication where her teachers Wim Wenders and Fatih Akin encouraged her to develop her own unique voice as a filmmaker. Her graduation film was screened at several international festivals, won numerous awards and was finally broadcast at ARTE TV. Currently, she is in the process of developing two original feature films.
