Anton Algrang grew up in in Bruneck/South Tirol, where he completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker. In 1990, he left the profession and moved to Berlin, where he trained as an actor at the School for the Performing Arts from 1990 to 1994. Engagements brought him among other places to Kammerspiele Düsseldorf, Schauspielhaus Leipzig, Residenztheater Munich and Schauburg in Munich. Following a role as Albert Speer in VALKYRIE, under the direction of Bryan Singer, he played countless parts in film and television and also trained to become a professional voice-over artist. After having previously directed several works for theatre, DIE MACHT DER ENTSCHEIDUNG is his debut as a film director.
