The film travels through central and peripheral streets looking for chance encounters between the “inhabitants of the walls” and the “inhabitants of flesh and blood”, who – even without realizing it – dialogue daily about the living tissue that constitutes a city. “Screams” spread across the walls, which function as mutant and ephemeral canvases that, tomorrow, will no longer exist… Man and time will manage to modify them.

A visual experiment that takes the viewer to dive into the urban imagination and discover the subjective part of everyday scenarios, which often go unnoticed by hurried glances. A film that brings to the screen the immense web of possibilities of contemporary cities, with their inhabitants, landscapes, ideas and concepts that are increasingly ephemeral.

Director, screenwriter and independent producer, Marcos Pimentel has made many documentaries, has won 92 prizes at national and international film festivals and has had his work shown at over 700 festivals all over the world. He has a degree in Documentary Filmmaking from Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión de San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV) in Cuba – and completed a post-graduation course in Documentary Cinema of Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Germany. Since 2009, he has been a professor in the documentary department at the (EICTV). However, he lives and works in Belo Horizonte/Brazil. SKIN is his fifth full-length documentary.
