Following the introduction to “100 Years of HÄXAN”, we’re pleased to present an opening performance by NAM-KHAR and the HÄXAN silent film concert by Vortex. Founded in 2008 by Marcus Stiglegger, the ritualistic dark-ambient project has released six albums to date and realised a host of collaborations and soundtracks on international labels. Vortex processes acoustic sound sources, voice and percussion electronically. Their rare live performances can be understood as shamanic rituals, paired with specific co-incidences and places. In a special live ritual, Vortex will enable Benjamin Christensen’s 1922 film HÄXAN to exert a new effect.
