Filmmaker Jan Soldat has shot 40 short films to date – they’ve been screened and honoured at countless festivals in Germany and abroad. It’s time for exground to devote an entire program to his work. Most of his pieces are encounters made without a film team, in which he opens up to individuals and situations with a camera in his hand.
