In a tension-filled dystopian scenario, Sascha Reh takes up contemporary developments and the effects of external technological control on individual humans and thinks them through to their logical endpoint: it’s an odd coincidence that Malu Jacobsen of all people has been tasked with investigating the human rights situation in Biotopia, an ultra-modern vertical farm. For it’s here that her daughter Golda has been living the dream of agricultural production for the common good – and it’s been 20 years since Malu last saw her.
