Majd and Shahfaisal live together in a residential group for unaccompanied minor refugees in Germany. Here they should be able to live a life true to who they really are: teenagers who are looking for their place in society. Over a period of six months, WOHIN MIT MIR? accompanies the two young people in a conflicting field of tension between growing up, existential fears, bureaucratic hurdles and the high demands of their own families as their personal situation is getting worse and worse.

The film sensitively and authentically documents the complex life situation of two unaccompanied minor refugees who must navigate the challenges of growing up, fears about the future and political realities.

Marvin Menné from Mainz works as a documentary film director and cameraman. After training as a media designer for image and sound from 2016 to 2020, he began studying time-based media with a focus on film at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. In 2024, he completed his studies with his debut feature-length documentary film WOHIN MIT MIR?, which was completed in 2025. Since September 2025, he has been studying at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg. He is an alumnus of the German National Academic Foundation.
