They say Sunday is Funday – but for us Monday will be just as good: We are looking forward to TOWN IN A LAKE [MATANGTUBIG] by Jet Leyco, in which a criminal cataclysm is born out of the acceptance of a lesser evil to refrain from acknowledging a greater hidden evil. The movie sharply critiques mainstream press coverage, a deeply corrupt police force, and a disturbingly uncaring government. It’s TWIN PEAKS in the Philippines! The screening will happen at 5.30pm in Murnau-Filmtheater in the presence of the director.
The mystery goes on in PLOT 35 [CARRÉ 35] by Eric Caravaca. An unsettling tragedy will be uncovered – the suspected family secret is revealed to be the secret of an entire generation. The film explores society’s relationship to individuals with mental and physical disabilities and will be shown at 7pm in Murnau-Filmtheater.
The day shall end with a big bang: Our legendary exground-Gong-Show will take place at 10pm in Kulturpalast. A classic for all exground-filmfest fans out there. The screen is up for grabs for all of your homebrew film creations: the trashier the better! All you have to do is bring them with you before the show on November 19 on a USB stick or DVD (max. running time: 10 minutes) and hand them over to us between 8 and 9 pm at Kulturpalast.
