exground filmfest 33 Programming Update: on-demand as planned from 13–22 November; live screenings/events postponed to 11–20 December

On-demand tickets now available for 5€ per film/programme (exclusively in Germany) // Festival opening & awards ceremony as live stream/archived video

Due to new Covid-19 prevention measures, the programme of exground filmfest 33 cannot be presented in front of live audiences in November. However, thanks to the support of new partners Festival Scope and Shift72, nearly the entire film programme will be available on-demand exclusively in Germany. Starting today, tickets can be purchased for 5€ per screening via ondemand.exground.com. After consultation with the festival venues, the festival organisers intend for exground filmfest 33 to take place in front of live audiences with film guests in attendance from 11 to 20 December.

In spite of the renewed cinema closures for November, we are extremely grateful to be able to present the festival online almost in its entirety,” explained Andrea Wink from the organisational team. “We are even happier to still be able to present our whole programme on the big screen for a live audience in December, provided that cinemas are allowed to reopen. Our warm thanks go to the Cultural Office of the State Capital of Wiesbaden and the directors of the festival venues in this regard for their extraordinary support and flexibility.
