Between warm cinema seats and cold winter nights
The cinema seats have been already warmed up and the exground filmfest is ready for its next half – e.g. with our youth days:
A WEDDING [NOCES] directed by Stephan Streker is based on the true story of 18-year-old Zahira. The Belgian teenager seems to live a normal life until her parents come up with an arranged marriage with a Pakistani. 5:30 pm at Caligari FilmBühne.
LOMO – THE LANGUAGE OF MANY OTHERS by Julia Langhof tells about loosing control over your own life and letting other people decide about it – through an online blog… We are happy to welcome the director herself on exground filmfest – 10:30 am at Caligari FilmBühne.
8 pm at Murnau Filmtheater: DISAPPEARANCE [NAPADID SHODAN] by Ali Asgari. The film offers emotional and deep insights into a couple’s life between tradition and modernity.
A fixed component for many years of exground filmfest have been the Iranian shorts. Today we are screening seven movies: one world, two international and four German premieres. Stories will be told about men seeking for air and women who want to burn themselves as part of a protest against the IS.
