In the small East German town of Artern stands an FMT 8 radio mast, nicknamed “Tall Harald” after the mayor at the time. Both are imports from the West. The radio mast is a symbol. But then the picture changes.
Antje Seeger is a filmmaker and visual artist. In 2012, she took her diploma in media art from the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig in 2012. In 2023, she completed the Professional Media Masterclass for artistic documentary film at the Werkleitz Gesellschaft, before attending the Master Class of TP2 Talentepool two years later. Her video works, films and installations have already been shown internationally, for example at Goethe Institute Rotterdam/Netherlands, at the Media Art Biennale in Wroclaw/Poland and within the Festival of Public Art in Omsk/Russia. FMT 8 is her first short film.
