This documentary film examines the phenomenon of metal/biker/football vests and portrays individuals that wear a vest and never wash it, or have lost one – and individuals that don’t have one but would like to.
Sylvie Hohlbaum, born in Frankfurt am Main/Germany in 1970, studied art education and art history from 1989 to 2001, while also training as a restorer and working freelance in the profession. From 1996 to 2004, she studied visual communication with a focus on documentary film at the HfG Offenbach. She worked at the Frankfurt Filmhaus and, from 2003, in media education with young people. She also works as an outfitter, set designer and musician with a band. She has been a freelance artist and filmmaker since 2006.
