Against the backdrop of the Taunus mountains, a white town rises: Klarenthal – a housing project planned in the 1960s for around 14,000 residents. With only the sun, wind, and clouds constantly reshaping the scenery.
Stephan Kyrieleis, born in Marburg/Lahn in 1966, shot his first films on Super 8 when he was still a teenager. From 1990 to 2001, he studied geography in Frankfurt am Main and regional mobility management in Kassel. He has been working in a transport planning office since 2002. Since 2000, he has also been working voluntarily as editor of the cinema program “Xinemascope”, which is broadcast on Frankfurt’s city radio station radio x.
