Dunja Bialas
Dunja Bialas studied Romance languages and comparative literature in Munich and Paris. She has been editor of the film magazine artechock since 2000. From 2002 to 2013, she was also a curator at Dok.Fest Munich, most recently as curator for the international competition. In 2006, she founded the international film festival UNDERDOX with Bernd Brehmer. From 2013 to 2023, she was spokesperson for the executive board of the Association of German Film Critics. In 2014, she founded the VIDEODOX sponsorship award, the biennial for video art from Bavaria. In addition to her work as a film curator and film critic, she teaches “practice of film criticism” at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.
Yotam Knispel
Yotam Knispel is a screenwriter, director and lecturer. He was nominated twice for an Israeli Academy Award for two of his short films LOVE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT, which was screened at 40 international film festivals and won 15 awards, including the exground filmfest award for best international short film in 2023, and GIRL WITH A FORK IN A WORLD OF SOUP (2019), which was screened at more than 20 international film festivals. Currently he is working on the romantic comedy NOW MORE THAN EVER, co-produced by Amy Schumer. He has won writing grants and filmmaking residencies in Europe and the USA, and is currently working on his first feature film.
Daniela Weber
Daniela Weber was born in Wiesbaden/Germany and studied communication (with a focus on journalism and, later, film), theatre studies and French/Italian at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and Freie Universität Berlin. Since 1992, she has been writing and directing Super 8 short films and working in the programming department at the Berlinale. As a freelancer she writes articles on cultural topics for international magazines. Additionally, she does curating and consulting for other festivals, such as L’Horcynus Festival in Sicily, and does consulting at pitching sessions.
