At the final match of a fencing tournament, Anja watches her son lose to one of his friends. When her son’s rivalry turns into racism, she becomes the only witness to what happened – caught in a moral conflict.
Florentin Dotzauer studied sociology and communication studies in Munich/Germany. During this period, he worked on the side as an assistant director on various graduation films at the HFF Munich. At the same time, he made his own short films, which focused on the conflicts, relationships and inner worlds of children. Whilst studying directing at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, he further developed this approach, as he has also gone on to do in his short film UNTER WEISSEN WESTEN.
