The former single mother and hairdresser Michaela (50) did not have an easy life and no luck with men. She wants to spend a few quiet days on the island of Rügen with her grown-up daughter Karo (28). If the vacation destination is not Mallorca, then at least sun and sea. At the hotel, the two meet Jochen (60) and his daughter Marie (16).

Michaela immediately finds in Jochen a vacation flirt, in Karo rather a father-daughter relationship she never had. She realizes that this emptiness is still keeping her from finally arriving in her own life. For Karo, Jochen becomes a friend, or more? What was planned as a mother-daughter vacation turns out to be a journey into the past of two women who don’t really talk to each other and couldn’t be more different.
