38-year-old Maryam heads a family of four. She decides to cut off her right hand while working in a poultry slaughterhouse because, in this way, she can get more money from insurance than losing her left hand to pay her debts.
Nasrin Mohammadpour, born in 1989 in Mashhad/Iran, graduated in Cinema, Sociology and also has a Master of Feminist Studies. In addition, she is a writer, director and social worker, who in cinema deals with the issue of social harms in the field of women, family and children. Moreover, as a social worker she is doing her best in helping to empower damaged and heads-of-households women as well as preventing child labor.
