For the first time, we are showing the nominated youth days short films within their own dedicated program. The six productions from Germany, France, Canada, Serbia and Czechia depict how young people bravely face challenges like poverty, early motherhood, bullying and sexual identity. A youth jury from the Medienzentrum Wiesbaden project “juryreif” will present the Award for Best Short Film, endowed with EUR 500 in prize money, sponsored by Wiesbadener Kinofestival e. V. The winning film will be announced immediately following the screening of the competition program.
