A turbulent, tender and haunting coming-of-age drama from Benelux. 15-year-old Malou grows up in a small Belgian town with her mother and two brothers. She’s one of the top performers in her rowing club, but as a loner she is a frequent target of bullying by her teammates. With her mother attempting to re-enter the dating scene, Malou’s older brother Max is the only person who is really there for her. But when Malou meets his new girlfriend, her life is shaken to the core. The girls fall in love – and Malou begins to question her own identity.

“SKIFF is a sensitively told, emotional coming-of-age story that wins the viewer over with an excellent cast, well-placed climactic moments and minimalist intensity.” (Yuliya Mieland, www.moviebreak.de)
