This Spanish comedy is based on the stage play “Bajo Terapia” by Matías Del Federico: three very different couples are invited to an unusual group therapy session in a smart loft. The psychologist herself does not show up for the session; instead, there are numbered envelopes placed on the table with several tasks that the couples are expected to work on together. After initial hesitation and clumsy banter, the participants slowly get to know each other. The heated discussions that follow bring surprising confessions to light, spiced with the usual man-woman games and various prejudices. One task after the other finally leads to each couple revealing themselves and their problems. Little by little, the participants show themselves as they are. The emotional afternoon develops into a chamber play with a surprising outcome.

Gerardo Herrero, born on January 28, 1953, is a Spanish film director, screenwriter and producer. He was president of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain from 1993 to 1994. His film COMANCHE TERRITORY was shown in the competition at the Berlinale in 1997. In 1987, together with Javier López Blanco, he founded Tornasol Films, which realized many co-productions with Uruguayan producer Mariela Besuievsky. Today, he is one of the most important producers of Latin American films.
