The sun shines fully and generously on a square brimming with people, enjoying her light and warmth to the fullest. Unrest turns to fear, when a sudden eclipse clads the square in total darkness.
Laura Vandewynckel, born in Belgium in 1986, trained as an animation filmmaker at the Ritcs School of Arts Brussels. In 2014, she graduated with PARADISE which received several awards at international film festivals. Currently, she is conducting doctoral research at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Rits. She teaches Concept & Scenario and Interdisciplinary Atelier at Rits and works as a freelance director, writer, storyboarder, graphic designer, and puppet builder.
